The Global Risks Report 2026 (World Economic Forum) synthesizes survey results from over 1,300 global experts and over 11,000 business executives to map short- and long-term global risks for 2026–2036. Key findings highlight a rising era of geoeconomic confrontation and multipolarity, growing short-term economic and societal risks (including misinformation, societal polarization and debt pressures), declining near-term prioritization of environmental risks despite severe long-term environmental threats, and accelerating technological risks—notably AI and quantum—whose impacts are expected to worsen over the next decade. The report provides six in-depth thematic analyses (multipolarity without multilateralism; values at war; an economic reckoning; infrastructure endangered; quantum leaps; AI at large) and recommends multi‑stakeholder governance, research, and policy actions to strengthen resilience and cooperation amid competing national interests.
