ANSSI evaluates that the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games present a very large attack surface and are attractive targets for a broad spectrum of cyber threats — financially motivated cybercrime (phishing, ticket scams, ransomware, DDoS extortion), hacktivist and state-linked sabotage (wipers, DDoS, hack‑and‑leak), supply‑chain compromises, and targeted espionage. The report reviews past incidents, assesses threat levels across phases (before/during/after), and issues practical recommendations (segmentation, hardened administration, backups, anti‑DDoS, logging, user awareness and exercises) to reduce risk and improve detection and response.
