ANSSI's Cyber Threat Overview 2024 reviews France's cyber threat landscape for the year: it emphasises widespread active exploitation of vulnerabilities (notably in firewalls, VPNs and other edge security devices including several high-severity CVEs and some 0-days), persistent APT espionage and prepositioning, repeated supply-chain and service-provider compromises, a steady ransomware problem (144 reported compromises), growing use of anonymisation networks and bullet‑proof hosting, increased DDoS activity affecting telecoms and public services, and the proliferation of commercial offensive capabilities and spyware—all of which increase risk to critical infrastructure, public and private entities.
