This technical report presents Foundation-Sec-8B, an 8B-parameter Llama 3.1–based language model further pretrained on a curated cybersecurity corpus; it describes the data collection and preprocessing pipeline, training regimen, benchmark evaluations (CTIBench, CyberMetric, SecBench, MMLU), performance improvements over baseline models, and potential SOC and engineering use cases, and announces public release of the model and checkpoints.
