Patch the Planet: a Daybreak initiative to support open source maintainers

Patch the Planet is an OpenAI initiative (with Trail of Bits and partners) that applies frontier AI models plus human security engineers to find, validate, and help patch vulnerabilities in critical open-source projects; the announcement highlights automated fuzzing, variant-finding pipelines, differential testing, and coordinated remediation. Early results claimed hundreds of identified issues and dozens of merged patches, including kernel information-leak and local-privilege-escalation PoCs, multiple dnsmasq CVEs, an HTTP/2 denial-of-service affecting many sites, and several browser engine vulnerabilities, while emphasizing human review, coordinated disclosure, and support for maintainers.
